Clinical Operations Lead (Radiopharmacist)
Dr. Myra Ochieng is a licensed pharmacist specializing in radiopharmacy, which involves the
production, quality control, and quality assurance of radiopharmaceuticals that facilitate imaging and
therapy of diseases in nuclear medicine.
She holds a Bachelor of Pharmacy degree obtained from the United States International University – Africa (USIU-Africa) and is completing a Master of Pharmacy in Radiopharmacy at the Sefako Makgatho Health Sciences University located in Pretoria, South Africa supported by the IAEA Marie Sklodowska-Curie Fellowship Programme (MSCFP).
She is currently working at NukleaCare – Xenopia Group as the Clinical Operations Lead
(Radiopharmacist) which strives to improve access to nuclear medicine solutions in Africa. With an amazing wealth of combined experience, we import and distribute radiopharmaceuticals, associated equipment, and consumables to nuclear medicine centres. We also provide consultation for the operationalization of nuclear medicine centers.
She is passionate about theranostics, which combines diagnostic imaging and targeted radionuclide therapy, which allows for personalised treatment by identifying disease sites through diagnostic imaging and delivering targeted radiotherapy to these sites. This approach seeks to reduce the global burden of cancer and improve patient outcomes.
